I have GiGi on a low starch, high fiber pellet designed specifically for horses prone to Ulcers and colic or other digestive disorders. She started eating pellets again in the middle of May, after having no Grain for several months. She is doing absolutely wonderful with no episodes of colic or discomfort. Even her flatuence has pretty much gone, beside her normal toots! :) I really contribute that to the Ulcer-Aid, because after about a month on it she seemed to get better with that. I believe it helped her appetite too. It did seem to take a bit to notice changes, But you did inform me that it may take a little while. I think it really helped heal and strengthen her entire digestive track.
You asked me how our show season went......we accomplished more than I ever dreamed..... GiGi and I received Super Amateur at the 2006 Eastern Regionals at the World Championship Show held in Fort Worth, Texas this past October. We are the World Champion Amateur Hunters out of 38 exhibitors.... GiGi also received 3 Tops Tens and 2 Top Fives at the same show.
It was an honor to work with such an incredible mare. And, obviously she was feeling well or else we would never have achieved so much! :)

I wanted to let you know I had an extremely positive response to the Skin Mend. My barn mate has a paint mare who is the queen of skinning herself on rocks. She's also a fancy show horse- obviously she needs a clean coat with minimal scarring! Well, the mare got bitten by the resident vampire horse; there's a handspan of hair gone off her back. Diana started applying skin mend to it (after a few days of tea tree to dry it , clean it) and she's beside herself over your product. It's started to work already, its kept the de-haired skin from getting grisly-dry, stiff and painful. She went to the Saddle Shed to find more.
Also, the tea tree stuff- it worked amazing, on a draft cross gelding who had a nasty scrape on his leg. It dried it up and his owner swears it started healing overnight. The skin cleared up and it started closing, hair's growing..... Both products have received rave reviews from different horse people. They haven't seen the Bug Gone yet!!!!
I wish you continued success. I have faith in your products. Congrats on a successful endeavor.

I really like the BugGone wipes. I use them for my horse Nikki who won't tolerate being sprayed. I use them on his whole body I found them to be very effective to repell mosquitos, black flies and ticks. I also started using them on my dogs too.
The thing I like the most is that there is a lot of lotion per wipe, the wipes are strong and last long and it is very nice smelling.
-- Sue Provenzano - Trainer and Farm Owner
I love and swear by all of the Equinature products.
I love the SkinMend and the UlcerAid. There is nothing else like the skinmend and I have worked as a professional groom in Europe and the US. It often takes some convincing to use natural products with the professionals I groom for but the results are terriffic with Equinatures products. I recommend them to any one I work with.

I love the BugGone wipes and spray. Since I have been using it I have not found any ticks on my horse when I come back from a trail ride. I used to find them all the time.
-- Kathy O'leary - Adult Amatuer
I bought a container of the SkinMend and just love it. I've used it on my horses, my dogs, and my kid! My daughter is an esthetician and she approves of all the items listed on the container. And we love the way it smells!
The BugGone repellant I'll pick up on Friday along with the citrus suds.
Thanks again for all your help. I'm really excited about your products. As I said my daughter is an esthetician and we are very conscious of the products we use. It is nice to find products for our horses and dogs that are as well made.
-- Stephanie Falzone
Your Bugspray works really wel! I found a lot fewer ticks on my horse and most of them were dead. I think they died when trying to feed on my horse after he was sprayed with the BugGone.
My vet recomended I put my horse on Ranitidinen because we suspected stomach problems. He still would not eat and refused the Ranitidine . I tried for a whole month. then I switched to your UlcerAid . He immediatly began eating better and has become less nervous and less touchty around his abdomen. all around he is acting more comfortable and relaxed and he even canters with his head down now.
-- Amanda Rawling
I put My horse mattie on the UlcerAid 15 days ago. Her really loose cow flap manure has changed into firmer balls and she nickers for her dinner now. She seems a lot calmer too.
-- Ros Smythe - Adult Amateur Jumper
My horse had really dry manure and did not pass manure very regular. I put him on the Ulceraid because other horses at our barn did really well on it. After 2 weeks his manure is nice and moist , he goes more frequenlty ( more normal ) and he seems much happier overall. I lover your products! Everyone at my barn uses them, just look around.Your flyspray is on everyone's door.
-- Donna Cameron - Farm Owner and Dressage Competitor
I'd like to add that I did pick up the bottle of citrus suds and gave both my boys a bath...this stuff is awesome. My mini is a sorrel with flaxen mane/tale. He is a pest to bathe, but the low sudsing formula was a breeze to rinse out and he just sparkles! I also did my quarter horse who is a liver chestnut (until he bleaches out in the summer) and the citrus suds gave him a super shine as well. It smells great and rinses out quickly. I like that a lot. I also used the BugGone spray when they were dry and I like that a lot as well. The field my quarter horse is in has lots and lots of nasty little bugs and after spraying him with the BugGone he wasn't annoyed by them at all. It definitely gives him relief from the bugs.
Oh, and as a follow-up to the SkinMend....Bars (the quarter horse) usually breaks out across his chest with little bumps every summer from the bugs and nothing ever get rid of them, except winter! I applied some SkinMed to his chest...and the bumps are all gone!!!! I am truly impressed. It has also stopped him from rubbing his tail and I hope that what hair loss there is will soon grow back. This is truly a fabulous product that I will never be without.
I usually try all the "new" products that come out, on the market, usually tossing most of them after a few uses because they just don't work. But I can honestly tell you that I will always use your products. They smell great, but most importantly, they work! Please don't change them!
-- Stefanie

Just a short note to tell you how very happy I am I found you and your products at the Everything Equine Affair in Burlington, Vermont. Your products, All of them, are terrific! Thank you for making these products! "Saco" says Thank you too.
-- Carolyn Greenslet
We Just Love your products. Thank you for thinking of the horses!
-- Susan Sheridan -Baystate Equine Rescue Inc.
Hello My dog Loves the bug wipes! They make hanging out in the barn and sun bathing a lot more pleasant.
-- Adrienne
We just tried your Bug Gone spray product for the first time and we love it!! We have a lesson barn with 15 horses and this is the most effective spray we have tried.
-- Sara Dunleavy
I've used LegDown a lot and loved it! And it smelled great too. I tend to buy liniments and braces that smell nice, and LegDown was the best - even better than Bigeloil and Vetrolin. LegDown was milder too. I can remember Linus reacting negatively to other liniments applied full strength - like maybe they stung or tingled too much for his liking.
I also used your Tea Tree Oil product. I used it a couple of summers ago on Linus. He had a nasty case of scratches on both hind feet, just above his heels. The Tea Tree Oil helped soften the scabs and eventually the scratches cleared up.
-- Suzanne Quigley
I would like to thank you for producing such a great bug repellant! Deer flies, Black flies and mosquitoes can make outdoor riding nearly impossible during our "too short" Summer here in New England; Bug Gone takes care of all those pests. In addition, for my horse, ticks were a huge problem. He would have a very serious reaction to any tick bites, not to mention the threat contracting Lyme disease or some other tick borne illness. Your Bug Gone sprayed on his feet, face and tail prevented him from picking up any ticks at all, even when trail riding.
Thanks again, it's the only bug repellent me and my horses need, it works!
-- Laura Martino
Christine, I know you haven't endorsed this product for cats, but: (I'm loathe to admit) My cat has fleas, where she has horrible red patches on the back of her neck. Presumably from the insects settling in and eating, and Monkeypants having a reaction to their mouths (Saliva? Whatever the irritant is.) It's not like fleas are exactly lovely, clean eaters. So; I decided to try the Skin Mend on the back of her neck, where she cannot directly consume the product. I chose it over the Tea Tree because the skin there is especially dried out and hard, and seems to need soothing over cleaning.
This is a a cat who flies straight in the air over startling experiences, yet she lay down for the application of this product. Se was purring as the Skin Mend settled in. And... I saw a flea running by and I had Skin Mend on my fingertip. That flea stopped almost dead in its path; I was able to pull it out and I dropped it into the sink. I swear to you it was going through death throes right there on the porcelain. It wasn't just waiting to dry off so it could run away and attack again- it seriously, truly looked like it was in trouble. it looked like your product was messing with its longevity enough for me to write this to you.
I don't know what this means. I guess cats shouldn't eat it, so putting it on its body proper might not be a great idea. BUT, I wonder if you found the future of flea killing magic. If Monkeypants could thank you, she definitely would.
-- Linda Oram
I have used three of your products: Legdown, BugGone, and Healthy Suds. I particularly like the BugGone wipes, because I appreciate the ability to put the insect repellent exactly where I want it on the horse (or on me, for that matter), rather than having it spray up into my face and eyes, the horse’s face, all over the hay, etc. etc.
My bottle of Healthy Suds has disappeared, so maybe somebody else likes it, too….
-- Betsy Moeller-Sally
I started using Equinature bug spray as an alternative to heavy chemical sprays for my horse. I had tried several "natural" bug repellents in the past and the Equinature Bug Gone works the best! It repels stable flys, mosquitos and I have not found any ticks on my horse. Furthermore, I can apply it as liberally as needed without being worried about chemical burn on her coat, or any harmful effects of commercial pesticides being absorbed into her skin. I also use it on myself when I'm at the barn with good results. This product really delivers. It smells pleasant and is safe and effective to use on horses and humans.
-- Jayne Sportelli
My horse has always suffered with ulcers. We've tried everything, from the expensive method to the every little home made remedy people offered to me. Granted the expensive method worked, but it seemed to never stop and who has that kind of money.
I have to say the best that has worked so far that is quite affodable is Equinature's Ulcer Aid. He's happy, his appetite is back, his weight looks good and the best part for me is he's more willing to work now. When his ulcers flared up, he was a bear. Now he's such a good boy. I've done a lot of research on ulcers and now I give it to all my competition horses just because of the stress of traveling so much.
I want to prevent the ulcers from developing. Ulcer Aid is now a part of all my horses diets.
-- Christina Dunham
A lot of people at Davis are using your products and love them. The fly spray is great, as are the wipes.
-- Susie Symmes
Equinature BugGone is the number one best selling item in my tack shop. Every customer who tries it likes it and comes back for more. I use it and all of my staff do too, so we know that it works - that makes it easy to sell!
-- Jill Marcus - Owner Cherry Tree Tack Shop, Inc
I can tell you a couple of things about your products. For starters you need to get more stock into the Mane Place! They were out of your fly spray so I had to buy your competition! I told Linda I really wanted the Equinature BugGone fly spray and she said she was going to call you and get more in. About a ½ hour after me, my sister-in-law went in asking for your fly spray!
Anyway, I love the BugGone fly spray because it not only works great on the horses but on the humans as well. I don’t have to worry about my children being sprayed when spraying the horses. I love the wipes for Ziggy because he hates to be sprayed.
I love your Healthy Suds shampoo…I love that it doesn’t suds up too much and a little bit goes a long way.
I use the skin mend all the time on me, my horses and my dogs!
I love that all your products are natural, safe and work great. I find that your prices are very reasonable.
-- Debbie Gildea
I love all of your products. The bug spray works well and has a pleasant smell. One of my horses, who has breathing problems, did not like any to have anything spayed on her - from years of spraying with toxic chemicals of owners past - I now can use the bug-gone, and she stands quietly. She totally approves of your product. I like the wipes, which I use around the face, neck, and ears. Both my horses love that product.
The real surprise is the skin mend. I use it on wounds of coarse, but have also had success, along with your tea tree and aloe wipes, with eliminating fungus on my horse's legs. A little goes a long way, and I started putting it on my very dry hands. WoW! I now use it as a body lotion! My skin has never felt so soft and hydrated. I know your products are for animals, but this is the best cream I have used.
Thank you!
-- Marcia Zais
I love the smell and so does everyone else in the barn. I don't want to spray harmful chemicals on my horse everyday. It's great to know I am using all natural products which are better for my horse, me and the environment. And I like that I am supporting a local woman owned business! Keep up the good work!
-- Chris Nichols
Equinature's products are so helpful to our family. Traveling and Competing fill up the busy schedule and we really only have time to use products that work. As all of us are eventers, we are constantly riding outside and in the woods where bugs are a nuisance. EquiNature's BugGone is the only fly spray that truly repels the bugs and lets our family condition our horses and practice.
After cross-country schooling, jumping or preparing for a long haul, another favorite of ours is the EquiNature's Leg Down rub. It is easy to use but is very effective on the horses, we recommend it for every horse lover out there, who wants to protect their horse's legs.
-- Wyn and Mariel Maling
I have been using the bug spray and I really like it because I can use it on myself and my dogs as well as the horses without any worry.
-- Wendy Derby
I have used several of your products for several years mainly the fly-spray, the leg-down and the SkinMend cut cream. I like the fact that they are natural and actually work the scent although strong is enjoyable and the cream does not leave a film on the skin( which I do not like that the skin can then not breath). The fly spray scent does stay around which is great as I think that then helps to deter the flies and it works on flies and mosquitos.
-- Sarah Morton
I'm usually leery of horse products that have a 'natural' label. Frankly I don't usually go out of my way to get things for horses that are 'all natural,' because that is usually code for "it doesn't work." But I've been seeing these Equinature bottles turn up in one barn after another as I travel around. It turns out that these products were developed and made by a friend in the area who is an equine massage therapist.
Recently two new horses showed up at my barn for training. One of the horses (new to this owner) had some serious skin issues, including open sores. His tail was the worst with a huge lesion right where the crupper goes, Yuck! I set my super working student Maggie to work on him. She used the Healthy Suds Anti-Fungal shampoo then we followed up daily with the Aloe & Tea Tree scrubs. When things started to look better, we used the SkinMend ointment. I can't believe how quickly it worked! In a matter of days he went from open sores to healthy skin. His partner was treated to the Healthy Suds Citrus bath. These horses look and feel great!
With this experience under my belt I decided that these products belonged in my store. Natural Smatural, this stuff does what it says! I love it when I find stuff that really works.
